learning to spin

so I finally got round to giving this a go. And I loved it. Admittedly, this is not the most perfect skein of yarn you ever saw, but to me it is beautiful, and it is definitely yarn - art yarn perhaps???!!!!!! I went to Norfolk Yarn, and they were great, really friendly and helpful and full of information as well as the suppliers of the most delicious coffee and walnut cake I have ever tasted. I also think they are very clever, because I am sure they deliberately gave us a mix of different coloured fleece to spin, so when it came to spin the ply it made that lovely humbug stripe effect! I can hardly wait to do more, so the hunt for a spinning wheel is on with a vengeance. I decided to try the skill first, a wheel is not so cheap even second hand, just in case it wasn't for me. What was I thinking? Anyone got an Ashford Trad, Traveller or Joy up for grabs?
